What we collect
When you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google. We also store any purchases you save to your portfolio (amount, date, currency, and item name).
How we use your data
Your data is used solely to provide the Gold Instead service — calculating gold returns and maintaining your saved portfolio. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (page views, referral sources, device type). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects anonymized usage data. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.
Cookies
We use cookies to store your display preferences (currency and weight unit) and authentication session. These are functional cookies required for the site to work.
Data storage
Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS). Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth with industry-standard encryption. We do not store raw passwords.
Your rights
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. To request account deletion, sign in and contact us or email privacy@goldinstead.com.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
